What is mantra ? मन्त्र क्या है ?

Mantra is formed from the mind. By mind and for the mind. By meditating on the mind and for the mind i.e. 'Mananeen Triayeti Iti Mantra': On meditation, that means fulfilling the goal, it is called Mantra. Mantra is a form made up of a combination of letters and words which is used to prove our cosmic and supernatural interests. This creation is believed to be created and operated by light and word. None of these two energy can be active without each other and the word is a form of mantra. You either do any work yourself or give instructions. You give instructions either in writing or in oral form. We can also say the word given in verbal form. Every word and slander is a mantra. That is why we should avoid using abusive words and negative words and words. The meditation, remembrance and worship of the Guru is necessary with the meditation of the respective deities and Ganapati before the chanting of any mantra. If there is no guru then you should bow down to the author of that book or to Shiva in your heart. 

मंत्र शब्द का निर्माण मन से हुआ है। मन के द्वारा और मन के लिए। मन के द्वारा यानी मनन करके और मन के लिए यानी 'मननेन त्रायते इति मन्त्रः' जो मनन करने पर त्राण यानी लक्ष्य पूर्ति कर दे, उसे मन्त्र कहते हैं। मंत्र अक्षरों एवं शब्दों के समूह से बनने वाली वह ध्वनि है जो हमारे लौकिक और पारलौकिक हितों को सिद्ध करने के लिए प्रयुक्त होती है। यह सृष्टि प्रकाश और शब्द द्वारा निर्मित और संचालित मानी जाती है। इन दोनों में से कोई भी ऊर्जा एक-दूसरे के बिना सक्रिय नहीं हो सकती और शब्द मंत्र का ही स्वरूप है। आप किसी कार्य को या तो स्वयं करते हैं या निर्देश देते हैं। आप निर्देश या तो लिखित स्वरूप में देते हैं या मौखिक रूप में देते हैं। मौखिक रूप में दिए गए निर्देश को हम मंत्र भी कह सकते हैं। हर शब्द और अपशब्द एक मंत्र ही है। इसीलिए अपशब्दों एवं नकारात्मक शब्दों और वचनों के प्रयोग से हमें बचना चाहिए।किसी भी मंत्र के जाप से पूर्व संबंधित देवता व गणपति के ध्यान के साथ गुरु का ध्यान, स्मरण और पूजन आवश्यक है। यदि कोई गुरु न हो तो जिस ग्रंथ से आपको मंत्र प्राप्त हुए हैं उस ग्रंथ के लेखक को अथवा शिव को मन में ही प्रणाम करें।्
